Reflection by Hao Mengguang

Before We Go To VJC 02/Mar

I have had a visit to Victoria Junior College as a group leader to ask school rules and requirements. My first impression of VJC is very good. I found a feeling just like when I was in my senior high school. In fact, through the simple visit, I found  some differences compared with Chinese senior schools. In China, we cannot bring hand phones to school, and... we cannot have a girlfriend... at least we cannot study or play together in school!!! Those result me... looking forward to VJC!!! I am looking forward to chatting with my dear buddy, looking forward to taking lessons and experiencing JC life in one week! I think it will be very meaningful since we can understand local educational system and how our school fellows graduate from junior colleges. We also can make many friends with local students! That’s very important! Though I am a little shy, lol, I will try to talk more with them. I really look forward to tomorrow’s JXP!

The first day at VJC 03/Mar
This was the first day I attend JC lessons! I was very excited. We got up very early and ate breakfast in a hurry. The distance was not as long as I imagined so we arrived VJC at about 7 o'clock. I met my dear Buddy-- Niken! He is not very tall but he is very clever, though we had some problems when we are talking since my English is poor and his Mandarin is not very good. In this day I fellow him everywhere. I was surprised by they should have geography courses as science students! The educational institution is different from China! I think my buddy Niken get along well with his classmates and we indeed had a very happy day.
The second day at VJC 04/Mar
This was the second day. Now I'd like to talk about foods. Having a meal is very cheap at VJC and I think it is more delicious than NUS! :)LOL these two day I ate chicken rice and Chinese noodles followed Niken. Juice was also very nice. I also found that Victorians are very energetic. I am very glad to be friends with them.
The third day at VJC 05/Mar
Today I attended PE.This was the first time I attend a PE lesson in another country besides China. It was really fun. The teacher was humorous and we played frisbee. My buddy Niken was very skillful I think he was a little teacher assistant in this class. He always had a victory posture when I caught the frisbee. It was very interesting and I think I like frisbee now!
The fourth day at VJC 06/Mar
Today my buddy had Chinese Lesson but he didn't like me to attend. I think the reason was that there were few students to attend it because they are failed in Chinese exam. However, I spent a very enjoyable hour to rest at tree house. I played cards with local friends. They taught me how to play and even finally I won the game! It was really fun!
The fifth day at VJC 07/Mar
This is the last day I study at VJC. I don't want to leave the class, it lets me feel the feeling when I was in senior high school in China. It was really fun and meaningful. In the evening, Hanyang and I visited buddy's house and we played computer game-- dota II together!
Reflection 08/Mar
This week is very meaningful. I am very glad to see all classmates at VJC. Nearly all of them are younger than me one or two years. So I regards them as little sisters and brothers. They are very friendly and kind. I wish we can meet some day.
