Reflection of Tuesday - Huang Yiming

I had a lot of fun on Tuesday and I really had got to learn more about the difference between China and Singapore education.

I had PE lesson in the morning. I felt that the PE lesson was much more fun compared with PE lesson in China. In China, PE lessons in senior high schools are attached little importance to because it is not included in the college entrance exam. So the lessons are sometimes substitued by other lessons like maths or physics, and even if it is not substitued, they are very boring. However, I found the PE lesson on Tuesday was quite fun. The preparation exercise was actually a game which I did not know the name in English but always played with my friends in primary school. Then we were taught to play volleyball, which I had learnt in China in junior high school although I forgot the skills. Unlike China, we had much free time to practice playing ourselves instead of listening to instructions of teachers. I enjoyed the PE lesson very much.

I had to admit that I was shocked by the Chinese lesson in the afternoon due to its unexpectedly high difficulty. The lesson was mainly about how to write a start of a Chinese narration essay. In fact, I had not thought that they were expected to write such beautiful start, which I also felt a little difficult to.Compared with the English we learnt in China, the Chinese taught was really difficult. Besides, the examples of the start of the essay contained some difficult words that surprised us. Overall, I felt that my Chinese was too bad.
