Friday Reflection By Liu Hanyang

This week we have joined the JXP program and have a visit in JC. I go to VJC to have a journey. It is a junior college which is far from RVR. In this week, we have to get up early and take buses to our JC. This timetable makes us tried and sleepy in this week. However, the JC life is happy for us. The students in JC are friendly to us. My buddy Douglas is an interesting boy who likes playing Dota 2. In this week, my buddy guides me to visit his school and attend every class. His classmates are also friendly. I have made friends with him and his friends. I feel that their class is like a big family, and I can also feel the harmonious atmosphere among them. They play jokes on each other and talk happily. During break, they will play cards, listen to music and play games. The life in the JC is happy and warm, which makes me remind my high school life. During my high school life, I can have fun with my friends, talk with them and discuss problems, which is important experience in my life. Also, in this week, I find there are some differences between Chinese and Singaporean education system. Chinese one seems busier and heavier than Singaporean ones. Chinese students have to wake up early in the morning and go back home late. They have many lessons and lots of homework. In Singapore, students only have 4 to 5 lessons a day and they have CCA which can train their hobbies. In addition, I find in class, Singaporean education would train more cooperation ability of students, which is important in their future life. The knowledge seems a little easier than Chinese one, but most of them is similar. What’s more, at the end of this week, I have gone out to have dinner together with my JC friends and we talk happily that night. Though it is a tiring week, I think it is meaningful and I learn lots of things, which makes me more familiar with Singapore.
