It is already the third day in VJC.
After the assembly, we had our first lesson, which is
the physics tutorial. The class were dealing with data analysis in the free
falling body experiment. As the main problem discussed in the lesson, how the graph will be if we start timing
earlier or later led to a lot of confusion and discussion. Although I didn’t
think their conclusion was proper, I felt that this is a very lively and
inclusive class, which may be an advantage of having a small class with 25
studentsJ
After the physics tutorial, it was the PE class, which
impressed me a lot! I am not good at sports, and I haven’t played ball games
for quite a long time. Although I decided to forget the hot sun and join them
for the second round, I was not doing well in the game as well as those
practices with my buddy, En Tian, for which I felt really sorry…After the
lesson, I sat on the floor in the hall while they were measuring height, when one
of my classmates came and sat down beside me. She asked me, “Esther, how is
life?” I got a bit shocked, “How is LIFE?” “I mean, how do you find life here?”
“In Victoria? Well, quite nice…” “Do you like P.E.? Did you play?” she asked. “Yes,
a bit, but…I don’t like the sun in Singapore. In NUS, I usually take an umbrella
with me.” “Yeah, I don’t like the sun in Singapore, either…” she replied, “It
can be very terrible…” I can’t exactly remember her words, but I was touched by
what she did and I appreciated it a lot.
I will never forget my dear classmates here, in
Victoria, who are so lovely, friendly, and active.
