Tuesday-- reflection by Xu Yidong

When it comes to today’s lesson, we learned Economics, Chemistry and general paper. I have to say that the science subjects that students are learning here, which is ranked as H2 level, is too easy compared with the stuff that I learned back in China when I was in grade 2 in senior high school. The students in Singapore are really very lucky compared with students back in China. Not only the competition among them is not that fierce, but also they have much time to enjoy their CCA, which will definitely regarded as “not attend to one's proper works or duties” at least in my senior high school.

The Economics is quite attractive to me. Although it was quite easy, I found myself had hard time understanding the definitions of certain terms on the lecture notes. This reminded me to hone my skills on English because I am very likely to have the same problem when I enter NUS formally.

Though the lessons are quite easy and a bit boring, I enjoyed the Chemistry lab a lot. During my stay in my senior high school, I did not have chance to do any Chemistry or Biology experiments because our teacher regards it as a waste of time—the national university entrance examination will not test it, then why not we spare some time for doing more exercises.

To conclude, I enjoyed a lot today.
